Molex introduces Coeur CST high current connection system

Molex provides an innovative Coeur CST high current interconnection system with a unique new float design, which can adjust the distance between misaligned pins and sockets to facilitate the connection between PCBs, PCBs and bus bars, or between bus bars and bus bars. In this process, no excessive stress will cause damage to sockets.

In addition to this unique float design, which provides an axial float of 1.00 mm, the Coeur CST high current interconnection system is also very compact in size, making the plate to plate overlapping profile as low as 5.00 mm, eliminating the need for a large protrusion above or below the overlapping plate. The system also provides two types of sockets with or without floating function.

The flexible and scalable Coeur CST high current interconnection system provides 30.0 to 200.0A of current and a wide range of configurations to accommodate PCB, bus bar and wire solutions. Multiple contact points optimize electrical performance. All CST form factor sockets (3.40, 6.00 and 8.00mm) use the same universal contact design.

The line to line board and line to line Coeur CST solution will include male and female crimping terminals, single row and multi row enclosures, with touch safety, pairing first come first break option, automatic latch, panel installation option, vertical and right angle configuration, and PCB and bus bar installation header options.
